As a seasoned counsellor with a decade of experience in schools, I deeply understand the unique challenges school counsellors face.

My supervision services offer tailored support and expert guidance to help you navigate these complexities, ensuring your professional growth, well-being, and longevity in the field.

Whether you’re dealing with crisis management, burnout, managing organisational demands, I’m here to provide a safe and supportive space to enhance your skills and sustain your passion for helping students.

Are you feeling isolated and unsupported in your role?

The lack of regular, reflective supervision can lead to a sense of isolation, making it harder to cope with the demands of the job.

By prioritising regular supervision, you gain a safe space to land amidst the chaos and busyness of school life.

I help you identify and address signs of burnout and vicarious trauma, provide support for student-related issues, and assist with navigating workplace conflicts.

My supervision also focuses on self-care, boundary-setting, and time management to ensure your longevity and effectiveness in your role.

benefits of SCHOOL COUNSELLOR SUPERVISION

SUPPORT

Support when you need it the most. School counsellors often find themselves overwhelmed by the demands and expectations of their roles. When they most need supervision, it’s frequently the first thing set aside. Yet, during crises and busy times, regular supervision is crucial for debriefing and feeling supported.

RESPONSIVE

Help during the chaos. School counselling can be unpredicatable, chaotic and reactive – we seem to be always putting out spot fires. All firefighters need to be able to take a break. Effective school supervision requires the supervisor to be flexible and adaptable when needed in a crisis.

boundaries

One of the hardest things about working in education is maintaining boundaries with work life balance and the never ending needs of the school community. It is imperative for longevity in the industry that school counsellors are able to establish and hold appropriate boundaries with the school leadership, staff, parents and other stakeholders. I can help you with this process.

experience

Finding a supervisor who 'gets' how schools work and function is not easy. Penny’s extensive experience working in schools and her understanding of this unique institution in regards to working with young people in a couselling and wellbeing context means that she ‘gets’ what you are experiencing on a daily basis.
